The Norton's Flying Legacy Project, undertaken by a team of enthusiastic volunteers led by Ian Rotherham, Chris Percy and Christine Handley, is now drawing to a close. To commemorate the legacy of this large WW1 airfield and Repair Depot, it's post-WW1 use, Painted Fabrics rehabilitation project and subsequent development, will be told in a free exhibition at the Sheffield Transport Social Club, Sheffield on Thursday 20 July 2017. The Peatlands Research SIG has a thriving and active research and communications community, covering all aspects of peatlands, bogs, mires, fens and a diverse range of fauna, flora and fungi.
