WILDTRACK PUBLISHING is the independent, in-house publisher for UKECONET, The South Yorkshire Biodiversity Research Group, The Landscape Conservation Forum, and the Biodiversity and Landscape History Research Institute.
Wildtrack has been publishing books and journals for over 20 years, with its flagship publication the Journal of Practical Ecology & Conservation, first appearing in 1995. Almost immediately, books based on the output from major conferences were released - Archaeology & Ecology: A Coincidence of Interest and Deer or the New Woodlands?
Since then Wildtrack has produced a range of landmark publications with a wide readership appeal and often contain contributions from respected authors such as Mel Jones, Franz Vera , Oliver Rackham, George Peterken, Ian D Rotherham, Della Hook and Mauro Agnoletti, to name but a few. Often diversifying to support independent authors Wildtrack has, for example, published two books with a military history theme - Protection from the Cold and A Tale of Two Airfields: RAF Ashbourne & RAF Darley Moor.
The publication range now includes regular journals, Practical Ecology & Conservation, Landscape Archaeology & Ecology, The International Urban Ecology Review, and special issues. We also produce and publish a wide variety of books on wildlife, ecology, history, archaeology, and landscape issues.
